Bill Bevins has been the voice of Richmond for over 50 years on both radio and television. His many awards including the prestigious Virginia Communications Hall of Fame induction are reminders just how good he has been. Always the steady voice of the morning with his “Morning Y’all”, Bill has been our trusted voice, to calm us through bad times and lead us into a new morning’s challenges. From his top-rated shows on B103 and Lite 98 to his daily CBS6 TV show, Virginia This Morning, his humor and storytelling abilities shine through. But radio has always been his first love. Since 1976, Bud Myers has been on hundreds of commercials and along with Bill Bevins, was on CBS6 Saturday Morning and Virginia This Morning for 13 years. But Bud has been marketing consumer electronics products nationally for over 40 years, developing audio and video products, and bringing them to market. Knowing music and being able to listen for the nuances of sound has been integral in his work, developing systems for the Manhattan Transfer’s studio to working with Dolby and THX for digital systems. Recently, he was voted into the “Legends of Consumer Electronics” by his peers but now has his dream job…talking about music…on the Breeze.

ADAM STUBBS
Adam In The Afternoon

Born in Norfolk, VA and a Richmonder most of his life, Adam was hooked on the musical power of the airwaves when at the age of 7, his grandparents gave him his first transistor radio, which he fell asleep listening too every night! You may not know his face, but his voice likely accompanied you along the Stress-Free Ride Home, afternoons on Richmond’s top ranked Lite 98 for 16 years, as a member of Country Radio station K95 for 4 years and as a guest personality on Jimmy Buffett’s Radio Margaritaville! In addition to his work as one of Richmond’s most popular on-air radio personalities, Adam also served as those station’s Promotions/Events/Marketing Director, hosting, organizing and promoting events. Also, fundraising for many local community organizations and national organizations including the American Heart Association, Susan G. Komen For The Cure, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and many more. Adam was honored with the Richmond Broadcasters Hall of Fame 2003 Broadcaster of the Year Award and Clear Channel Communications 2008 National Performance Excellence Award. Most passionate to Adam though is promoting the magic of music, especially the music of local artists!!! He is currently a Marketing Specialist for the Comcast Advertising and Marketing/PR guy for The Beacon Theatre Hopewell and so excited to make your day a little brighter spreading musical magic right here on The Breeze!
Ilyse Jennings

If the name Ilyse Jennings sounds familiar, it may be because she has been part of the Richmond media community ever since she joined XL102 as Program Director in 1980. She has been on air or part of the sales team at Lite 98, B103, K95, WRVA, Smooth Jazz and Richmond Magazine. Though software sales eventually replaced media sales, music has always been a key focus for Ilyse, and being back behind the microphone is the best kind of coming full circle. Spotlighting local talent, providing a musical backdrop for your nights and unwinding with just the right jams…all part of Richmond After Dark.

Don was born and raised in the city of Richmond. he attended Richmond public schools in an era when many of his teachers had also taught his parents. While Pursuing a degree in music from the University of Richmond he financed his
education by working at one time or another as a skip tracer, a local musician, a repo man and various jobs in circulation at Richmond newspapers inc.
He parlayed his music background into an introduction to the about to explode hi-fi industry of the early 1970s. He worked for companies such as Alpine, Sony, Marantz, jbl and Nakamichi. Over the next 30 years he worked on a national level selling Circuit City, Best Buy, Sears and other major electronics retailers AROUND the country. When an opportunity to stop traveling five days a week came along in 2000, he eagerly accepted a position at wtvr TV. As a senior account executive, don works with both local and national level businesses and organizations with their marketing strategies.
Don lives by one hard and fast rule…never let a member of the Corleone family sit behind you in a car or rowboat.

Dan Marich is retired from the Consumer Electronics and Consumer Products Industries where he held multiple positions with several leading brands for forty years. He currently has a blog where he writes about sports and life. (www.chiguysproductions.com) He has just written a book recounting things that went on in the world in the 1950’s, 60’s, and 70’s and how he was touched by them. (The Smartest Generation, available on Amazon.com) He is married to his wife Linda and they just celebrated their forty-fourth anniversary in October. He currently resides in the Coachella Valley area in Southern California where he never again has to shovel snow.
